The Missenden Wine Circle is all about wine-tasting, learning about grape varieties, wine production, wine and food, and any other subject related to wine. We meet on a regular basis - normally the second Thursday in every other month and, at present, at The Lee Parish Hall, The Lee, Great Missenden, Bucks. The venue is confirmed by letter and email to members and will also be indicated on this web-site. Meetings take the form of a presentation followed - or accompanied - by a wine tasting. Our presenters range from Circle members to Masters of Wine. There is an annual dinner, always with excellent food and wine, and usually an outing in the summer - perhaps to a vineyard or a wine cellar. The Circle was formed in 1988 by Alan Stowe and several members of his Wine Appreciation courses. Since then Membership has grown to around 40 - and we are looking for new members.
